• The death of Alexandria. Not only does this occur back during the early days of her hero career, when she was still a Nice Girl and Wide-Eyed Idealist, but the way she does is particularly awful. When responding to the attack by the Titan, she ends up being subject to a Villain Override through her shard. It leads to her being a brainwashed puppet, forcing her to murder the hero who accompanied her, and resulting in her being subject to a particularly brutal death at Fou's hands. By the time the the Titan is defeated, her corpse is shown to be unrecognizable as ever having been her, indeed it's so bad that only a vague shape of a humanoid outline even indicates that it'd once been a person. A particularly brutal combination of both Cruel and Unusual Death and Undignified Death.
• Goetia seeks out Earth Bet's Ritsuka Fujimaru only to find that he died just a few weeks before the Beasts were summoned. He spends the entire chapter mourning the one human he respected, even wishing that he could have worked alongside him on their current mission. Just before he leaves with Fortuna, he places a grave marker for the boy with words only a few would find significant: Ritsuka Fujimaru, Last Master of Humanity​.
