Tear Jerker / Dual! Parallel Trouble Adventure

• Episode 2 "My Home", wherein Kazuki meets his parents. Only, they don't recognize him because... they don't have any children.
• Poor Kazuki in episode 4, "No Disguise". Kazuki's a real doormat in that one. The poor kid shouldn't have had to take all that. Mitsuki, and most of the other staff laughing at him in his new "uniform" sure didn't help much. Though it was likely all meant for laughs, anyone who has experienced bullying in their life, can probably relate.
  • While only briefly touched on, Yayoi's clear sadness when she attempts to pilot Hartzenen is rather sad to see.
• Episode 5, "Campus Life". While she had been a bit of a bully up to that point. One can't help but feel badly for Mitsuki after D accidentally throws her diary away.
• Episode 7 "Hard Case", the moment when the "Original" and Hartzenen have seemingly exploded. Poor Mitzuki and the others are left thinking that Kazuki and Hartzenen were likely caught in the explosion. Poor Mitzuki actually screams Katzuki's name in anguish.
• Episode 8 "Mitsuki", watching everyone in the Earth Defense Force dealing with his loss. D has retreated into herself and spends her time sitting in Kazuki's room. Yayoi puts on a brave face and tries to go about her jobs, though it's clear she's rather shaken. While Mitsuki hasn't been able to fight as well as she used to and even snaps at Commander Sanada. As for Sanada himself, he appears to have taken the situation just as badly as the others.
  Mitsuki: Hey Dad, we have to do something, or we'll be no match for them when the next trailer comes.
  Commander Sanada: (sighs) Well, I've submitted applications for better weapons to the UN.
  Mitsuki: (shouts) No! That won't do it!
  Commander Sanada: (smiles sadly) I know that. Guess I always do whatever I can to avoid getting to the heart of the matter. With any luck, this little experience has taught me a lesson.
  • Mitsuki Rara's horrified reaction when she learns that Kazuki is the pilot of the white core robot.
• Episode 9 "Escape", Mitsuki Rara's reluctance to fight the white core robot in the simulator. Leading to her Life Sympathy dropping and the discharge causing her serious harm. The fact her own mother doesn't seem to care, while her father is too afraid of his wife to protect her doesn't help.
  Mitsuki Rara: (as the simulated Hartzenen approaches, ready to "kill" her) I can't fight him. I can't fight him. I can't fight him! I won't!
• Kazuki and Mitsuki Rara's date getting derailed in episode 10, "Repatriate".
