- By the end of issue #1, Jon is down in the dumps — he's made his new Justice League, but they're not the heroes one would expect. Even more, Black Adam tells Jon that his team sucks and he should have left making a new League in the hands of Nightwing. Considering Jon only did that because Nightwing refused to form a new, if temporary Justice League to deal with the supervillains raining hell all over the place right now explicitly because Justice League is dead, this really comes across as a Kick the Dog moment.
- At the end of Superman's story in Worlds Without A Justice League: Superman, we see that Clark kinda knows this world isn't his, but he doesn't want to give it up as he got to see Jon grow up in a young man, even if this Jon is a lot more headstrong than his current counterpart.
- Issue 3 is definitely the Darkest Hour. The Bat-Family and Titans shaken by Deathstroke's attack and Beast Boy's injury and Jon's Justice League suffers a Breaking the Fellowship after Black Adam's disastrous attempt at leadership.
