Tear Jerker / Bah, Humduck! A Looney Tunes Christmas

Go To

  • The scene with Daffy in the orphanage. All he wanted was a family, but he kept getting rejected, leaving him to spend his life on his own. Granny and Tweety cry at the sight.
  • Porky wants to give his daughter the Christmas she deserves, but his boss is treating him like dirt and forcing him (and the other employees) to be away from her during the holidays. When he tucks her in, he sadly walks away, knowing he cannot be with her the next day.
  • Playboy Penguin in this movie is portrayed as being homeless and penniless. He asks Daffy for some spare change, but the duck pushes him out of his way.
  • The scene where the Ghost of Christmas Present shows Daffy how miserable his employees truly are; Elmer is freezing in the snow because of how sleep deprived he is and Marvin tearfully prays to return to his home for the holidays.
  • When the Ghost of Christmas Future takes Daffy to the future (where Daffy has passed away), Priscilla stays at the grave after her dad leaves and reveals something: she never hated Daffy and claims that she can understand how it feels to not have family around at the holidays—feeling that no one should be alone at this time of year, Priscilla promises to come visit his grave every year and leaves a plate of Christmas cookies before following her dad out of the cemetery. Hearing all this reduces both Daffy and Taz to tears and Daffy, realizing that his greedy/selfish nature was to cover up his wish to be part of a family, vows to become a much kinder and more generous person.
    • Before Priscilla's aforementioned speech, Porky gives his eulogy to Daffy on how he tried to leave the Lucky Duck store to himself in his will, an illegal act that resulted in the store being shut down and his employees out of jobs, and how he ultimately got his wish to be alone with his money forever. He then finishes the eulogy with a final farewell in a rather bitter Disappointed in You tone: "G-g-oodbye, Mr. Duck. Or as you always liked to say: B-b-b-bah, humduck". Daffy then tearfully begs Taz to do something about this dreadful prediction.
Daffy: I DON'T WANT TO END UP LONELY!! [voice breaks] And alone.
