The Main Story
- As Ruby is taken to the city of Epidamnus, the realization that she is no longer on Remnant hits her like a ton of bricks. Not only that, she is taken into custody by the Adeptus Arbites as a potential unsanctioned Psyker. This coupled by the events that led to her being stranded on Kanrilia and the fact that she's all alone results in her breaking down in her cell and crying herself to sleep.
- In the aftermath of the Battle of Kanrilia, Kastriot is seen going over the casualties, and he is grief-stricken by the knowledge that a total of 2230 Arbanian Janissaries died in during the battle. Their numbers were already dwindling after the loss of their home-world, but this latest tragedy only serves to hammer home the point that their regiment is teetering one step closer towards extinction.
- After conversing with Kastriot about the nature of her Silver Eyes, Kastriot informs her that many of the people of Kanrillia, including the Arbanian Jannissaries, now revere her as a Saint for her single-handedly saving everyone from the Daemons of Chaos. The revelation of this makes Ruby deeply uncomfortable. To hammer this point home, when Ismail, Qemal, and Delimina visit her in the hospital, they are initially cautious and are walking on eggshells around her. Ruby becomes incredibly crestfallen at the idea of being treated differently because of her Silver Eyes, including by people she saw as her friends.

- Blake finds herself feeling the pressure of so many lives depending on her when the Governor of Doromoros and the Adeptus Sororitas cut off the food and water supply in the lower city in a bid to starve The Resistance out. She is given the Sadistic Choice of either allowing everyone to starve to death or launch a suicidal attack on the only access point to the upper city to break the blockade.
- Yang was Made a Slave in Commorragh, home of the Dark Eldar where she was tortured and made to fight in the gladiatorial arena under the false promise of freedom by K'shaic. Not only that, Yang was fooled by K'shaic who had a random human woman be surgically modified to resemble Ruby after taking a glimpse on her memories so that he has leverage over her and she has the motivation to keep fighting to reach the impossible goal.
