The Main Story
- Ruby squeaking in surprise the first time she sees a Servo-Skull is definitely a fun moment, and even serves as a Chekhov's Gun when Kastriot(correctly) surmises that Ruby must be from a world outside the Imperium, bringing it up with a smirk. Ruby visibly blushes in embarrassment over her faux pas, much to Zahra's brief amusement before her giggles are silenced by the Commissar.
- While Lord General Kastriot and Commissar Merneith are debating what to do about Ruby, they ask their resident Psyker, Zahra, what she thinks about Ruby.Zahra: "Beautiful..."Zahra: "Wait, that's no- I mean- I wa- ugh."
- Ruby visibly gushing over an Omnissian Axe wielded by an Enginseer and a Heavy Bolter wielded by one of the Arbanian Janissaries.
- In the aftermath of the Battle of Kanrilia, Kastriot laments that he is in yet another fight against an even tougher enemy: paperwork.
Side Stories
- In Blake's storyline, Hurk the Ogryn is as worth a few chuckles as he is worth a few "awwws."
- He gives what is meant to be a reassuring smile to Venthur, but the Underhive boy finds the act by such a block-faced and broken-toothed giant to be more unsettling than comforting.
- Blake is pleased by his eagerness to help out with the older refugees under her care, but still sends her Psyker Twins to make sure the poor thing doesn't get lost again on his way to deliver blankets.
