This show displays examples of:

  • Mr. Fanservice: Seo In Gook, the winner of Season 1; John Park and Kang Seung Yoon from Season 2.
  • Expy: Of American Idol.
    • Also, both of the male judges are these of Simon Cowell to a degree; all the female judges have unfortunately been these of Paula Abdul.
  • Invincible Hero: Ulala Session in Season 3.
  • Manipulative Editing: Big time. In fact...
  • My Greatest Second Chance: John Park, in a sense, since he managed to reach the top 20 in American Idol before making his way into Season 2 of this show.
    • Also, Chris Golightly from Season 9 of American Idol happens to appear on Season 3.
  • Trope Codifier: Of survival reality TV shows in Korea.
