Gun was a Genre Anthology series appearing on ABC. Created by James Steven Sadwith, the scenarist of the miniseries Sinatra and two episodes of Tales from the Crypt. Robert Altman served as one of the executive producers and also directed an episode. The only “character” to appear from one episode to the next was a pearl-handled semiautomatic pistol.
Despite its pedigree, it lasted only six weeks in the spring of 1997.
Tropes:
- Til Murder Do Us Part: Police suspect a woman of killing her husband, a Japanese businessman, in the episode “Ricochet.”
- Weapon Title: The series title.
- Writer's Block: Jack Keyes suffers from this in “Columbus Day.”
