Nurik Sandral

  • I Have No Son!: Implied after Rahasia and Shen run away together if their fathers haven't made up. The former says both of them cut them off, leaving them on their own. Thankfully, the Jedi Temple has given them a place to live.
  • Jerk with a Heart of Gold
  • Papa Wolf

Ahlan Matale

  • Jerk with a Heart of Jerk: Ahlan is something of a snob and hates Nurik Sandral with a seething passion. He comes to the Jedi hoping they can rescue his son Shen from the Sandrals. And after the confrontation, Ahlan makes it clear that he thinks little of his son, saying that he's too stupid to think on his own.
  • Rich Bitch: Gender-inverted version. If Rahasia's words are anything to go by, Ahlan is a rich asshole who looks down upon

    Jerkass Has A Point OP
Jerkass Has a Point, on its own, is a trope that is well-defined. What it's about is a Jerkass character makes a valid argument. And the requirement for it is to have the others acknowledge that the Jerkass is indeed right. It even says on the page itself that it's In-Universe Examples Only. In spite of this, it has suffered from massive Trope Decay; people treat it like it's Strawman Has a Point, where the audience uses the trope and acknowledges that the Jerkass does indeed have a point without any consideration on whether or not other characters make the same assessment. I made a [[wick check]] to see how it was misused and here are the results:

PENDING RESULTS

Admittedly, there was more correct usage than I thought. But still yet, the misuse I pointed out is still greater in size. I do have some ideas:

1. Turn Jerkass Has a Point into an Audience Reaction page and move examples there into YMMV.2. The concept of the trope itself, where Jerkass characters make their valid points with other characters agreeing, is tropable, but maybe it can be made under a new name. Because the idea itself is workable. But this needs to be reinvented.
