The missile prematurely activated with even the Elder not being able to stop it as he arrived too late. The explosion of the missile incinerates everyone with the exception of Nijima who protected himself, Kenichi and Miu with his barrier technique. However Nijima's barrier begins to crack and in that a wormhole occurs sucking in the trio, sending them back ten years ago. The trio retained their memories and knowledge in the original timeline, Kenichi being the first to recognize this. Kenichi eventually meets up with Nijima and later Miu who also retained their memories and previous knowledge. Armed with this knowledge of the original timeline, would the trio cooperate with their closest friends and allies to prevent the same fate bestowed upon them or will it be the opposite?
History Strongest Disciple Again? is a fanfic to Kenichi: The Mightiest Disciple.
This fanfiction features the following tropes.
- Battle Couple: Tanaka and Mayu Tustomu. They do this during their fight against Raki and Mihai, managing to hold themselves despite their status as Grandmasters, with them just being in the Master class.
- Cheerful Child: Kaede Tanimoto.
- Downer Beginning: Everybody gets incinerated by the missile explosion, with the exception of Miu, Kenichi and Nijima.
- Papa Wolf: The Elder is still fiercely overprotective over Miu despite her improvements.
- Akisame is very protective of the socially inexperienced Shigure whom he is a "uncle" to which is shown when he assaulted Sakaki whom he wrongfully accuses of taking advantage of Shigure.
- Saiga has noticeably more moments of this. Due to Miu's trust of him though not to the extent of the Elder.
- Spared by the Adaptation: Kaede Tanimoto, Mayu Tanaka, Sho Kano are spared from their fates to Kenichi's knowledge of the future the former two directly, the latter indirectly. For Kaede specfically, despite Natsu not sending her to Akisame and Kensei's clinics as intended by Nijima he lucked out with finding a doctor that managed to take care of Kaede and she became back to being nearly fully healthy. While Ogata does kill Kai and is about to land a killing blow to the pregnant Mayu, the Elder intervened, stopping the killing blow and reasoned to them about the unborn child causing Ogata to reconsider killing off Mayu for that reason. In Sho's case, thanks to him not developing the same grudge to Kenichi in this timeline, he doesn't join the tournament to get revenge which gets him shot down and instead he looks over.
