Earth is beginning to make a name for itself.
On twin planets far away an unrest is brewing as tales of a world of soaring heights and deepest lows piques interests in both friend and foe. It has the potential to be something like New Genesis or Apokolips with just a little guidance or display of force. Meanwhile, those heroes and villains on that little planet, Earth, are just now learning of the machinations from afar.
This is the backdrop of Gods Among Men
is a Play-by-post RPG based on the The DCU. Not to be confused with Injustice: Gods Among Us.
Gods Among Men includes examples of:
- All There in the Manual: A lot of extra information about a given character is included in their application.
- Canon Foreigner: An option for players is to be a version of their character who is explicitly from another universe, albeit not from TV, movies, etc.
- Continuity Reboot: Characters can either be based on the version found after two separate reboots: New Earth (post-Crisis) or Prime Earth (post-Flashpoint).
- Cosmetic Award: As with many Play-by-post sites it includes various 'Of the Month' awards. The winners and their awards become part of the randomly generated banner at the top of the page during their month.
- Crossover: Had one with a Marvel site, What We Choose, as part of an April Fools' Day event.
- Depending on the Writer: Each new writer will have a different take on their characters than those who previously played them.
- Myth Arc: Any threads to do with New Genesis or Apokolips and its residents' interactions with Earth.
