"The Treeborhood Photo Album": Zadie creates a photo album to track the history of the Treeborhood.

"The Treeborhood Photo Album" contains the following tropes:

  • '70s Hair: Gramma Boggie McJams wore an afro. This is one of the clues that she arrived in the Treeborhood in the 70s, since she's also shown holding a boombox and wearing neon rollerskates.
  • Generation Xerox: Great-great-great-great grandma Willamena, the first resident of the Treeborhood, looks exactly like Super.
  • Instantly Proven Wrong: Zadie is too excited about her idea to sleep, and says that she'll never be able to sleep with this big idea in her head...then starts snoring.
  • Punny Name: Mr. E's great-great-great-great grandfather is named Tobias Everything. It sounds like "to buy us everything."
  • Traveling Salesman: Tobias Everything was a door-to-door salesman who sold doors.
  • Uncanny Family Resemblance: Duffy looks just like her grandma, except her grandma wore an afro and Duffy has straight hair.
  • Worldbuilding: This episode establishes lots of lore about the show's setting.
    • The Treeborhood started out as a small tree. When Willamena, aka Willie, found it, she liked it so much that she started to live in it.
    • Next, Tobias Everything came to the Treeborhood. Willie wanted to build more homes, and Tobias realized that the homes would not only need doors but so much more. That's when Tobias built the Everything Emporium.
    • Then, Amado's lolo (grandfather) Alejandro built a home in the Treeborhood, and then a big storm came. The storm knocked off a branch and left a knothole, colloquially called Echoey Knothole.
    • After that, Duffy's Gramma Boggie McJams opened the Eat N' Greet.
    • Finally, Ellie crashed her Boo Boo Blimp into the Treeborhood. She loved the view and the folks that lived there so much, she decided to live there as well.

"Runway Recycling": Mr. E and Louisa preside over a sculpture contest.

"Runway Recycling" contains the following tropes:

  • Affectionate Gesture to the Head: After Louisa decides to set a 30-minute time limit for the sculpture creation, Mr. E headpats her, calling her a tiny genius.
  • Alliterative Title: Runway Recycling.
  • Big "NO!": Mr. E exclaims "NOOO!" when he accidentally shatters a sculpture of his Grandpa E.
  • Drum Roll, Please: When Mr. E announces the prize for the contest, he asks for a drumroll. There are no drums, so Zeke does it by shaking his maracas.
  • Given Name Reveal: Subverted. When Mr. E talks about how his Grandpa E showed him the stars, it seems like he's going to reveal his own name, but he quotes his grandpa as calling him "Little E."
  • It's All My Fault: Mr. E tells himself that it's all his fault for shattering the sculpture and that he shouldn't have been polka-ing around.
  • Overcrank: The sculpture of Grandpa E falls in slow motion.
  • Polka Dork: Mr. E is revealed to be into polka music, and he looks silly (in a good way) while polka dancing and cleaning.
  • Show Within a Show: Mr. E's favorite show, The Bakey Bakey Show, is brought up again when Mr. E mentions that he likes contests.
  • Tears of Joy: Mr. E sheds tears of joy while marveling at the sculptures everyone has created.
