Guillermo is hiding in a motel from the vengeful Nandor, who is out to kill him now that he knows the truth about what Guillermo did. The other vampires visit him to say their goodbyes. Meanwhile, Nandor runs into actor Patton Oswalt and strikes up a friendship with him, but after Oswalt suggests Nandor should forgive Guillermo, Nandor kills him. Fortuantely, this makes Nandor realize killing a friend does not bring him satisfaction, and he instead decides to help Guillermo complete his transformation.

- Be Careful What You Wish For: With Nandor's help, Guillermo finally completes his transformation to vampire. But now he has to hunt and kill humans to sustain himself, and finds out he does not have the heart to do so.
- Conspicuous Trenchcoat: Nadja's "disguise" when visiting Guillermo consists of a trechncoat and fedora. Only Derek falls for it.
- I Have Your Wife: To lure Guillermo out, Nandor eventually goes to the appartment of Guillermo's mother and calls him from there.
- Kill Me Now, or Forever Stay Your Hand: After Nandor forgives Guillermo, the latter is naturally sceptical, so Nandor hands him a stake and offers Guillermo to kill him here and now if he lied about his forgiveness. Guillermo can't bring himself to kill Nandor.
- No Immortal Inertia: Downplayed as Guillermo has only been a (part) vampire for about a month so there is not that much aging to catch up on; after he becomes human again, that month instantly catches up with him, resulting in Guillermo suddenly growing a beard.
- No Ontological Inertia: The vampires eventually kill Derek, since he is Guillermo's sire and thus his death undoes Guillermo's vampiric transformation. Guillermo fears this will also kill him, but Nandor assures him that won't happen considering Guillermo has not been a vampire for that long yet. Instead, Guillermo only ages up a month upon regaining his humanity.
- No-Tell Motel: Guillermo is hiding in one from Nandor.
- Open Secret: Guillermo's hiding place turns out to be far from secret as one by one the vampires drop by to visit him. The Guide even tells him that likely everybody knows, since she is usually the last person to find out secrets like this.
- Status Quo Is God: By the end of the episode, Guillermo is human again.
- Title Drop: The episodes title is mentioned by Colin Robinson when he drops by at the motel to take Guillermo's exit interview.
- Why Didn't I Think of That?: After forgiving Guillermo, Nandor reveals he knows how to finally complete Guillermo's transformation; just have him drink some human blood. It works, and Nandor openly wonders why Laszlo did not think of trying that. Laszlo's wonders the same thing about himself.
