The Moon is tired of taking the night shift, since everyone's always asleep, so Unikitty leads the gang in putting on an over-the-top late night talk show to keep her occupied.

Tropes:

  • Here We Go Again!: Richard thinks he’s finally gotten the rest of the group to quiet down so he can get some sleep once the Moon’s shift ends. Then the Sun hears about the show and wants one of his own…cue “The Daily Early Morning Daytime Show.”
  • Laugh Track: Since everyone in the Unikingdom is asleep, Unikitty uses a portable radio to play cheering noises to make it seem like her audience is more than just a group of cardboard figures colored with crayons.
  • The Noisy Straw: Unikitty interrupts Really Old Edith’s account of “The Most Interesting Story Ever Told” by slurping loudly on her coffee, making the segment run out of time before Edith even has a chance to speak.
  • Parody Commercial: Eagleator makes an appearance in this episode for a commercial for “Tough Guy Tears” - eye drops that help you cry when you’re too tough to be in touch with your emotions.
  • The Sandman: In the Unikingdom, the Sandman is actually a criminal who breaks into people’s houses at night, steals their valuables, and uses his magic sand to put them to sleep if they happen to wake up and catch him in the act.
  • Talk Show Appearance: To make sure the Moon doesn’t get bored at night, Unikitty hosts a late night talk show and invites all her friends as guests.
  • The Tape Knew You Would Say That: The TV appears to hear the Moon as she settles in for a boring night of watching the Unikingdom sleep, as it turns on to Unikitty’s new “The Nightly Late Night Nighttime Show.”
Moon: Man, I hate the night shift. Everyone’s always asleep, so boring.
Unikitty on TV: Well you’re in luck, Moon!
  • Troubled Fetal Position: After being kidnapped out of a relaxing bath and trapped in a speeding, self-driving van that eventually drives off a cliff, Master Frown is completely traumatized by his experience as a guest star in the segment, “The Vantastic Van-Time Sing-Along.” When he finally escapes, he curls up into the fetal position and cries.
