Go To

"I will never leave you," my husband whispered as he climbed into bed last night.
I woke up gasping as the suit he was buried in twisted around my neck.

Ever since her husband, Jin, died, Angela feels that an evil spirit is trying to kill her. She and her mother-in-law attempt to find the cause before it is too late for Angela.

Tropes featured in this episode:

  • The Alcoholic: Jin was this when he was alive. While Ma laments that she raised a monster, Angela mentioned than Jin only became abusive to her whenever he was drunk.
  • Barred from the Afterlife: Even after Angela and Ma move away, Jin's soul is stuck inside their old home, unable to move on.
  • Dead All Along: A variation. The boy who stalks Angela and Ma is Jin when he was a kid. He is, in a way, a ghost, hence why the two women never interact with him.
  • Dramatic Irony: After she successfully repels his haunting, Ma thinks that Jin has moved on. In fact, his ghost, while no longer malevolent, is still there.
  • Eerie Pale-Skinned Brunette: Jin's malevolent ghost is depicted as a long-haired man with chalk white skin.
  • Gilligan Cut: Angela initially resists Harold's offer to help her, until he asks her a question: "Have you felt safe since your husband passed away?" Cut to Harold preparing a seance.
  • Like Father, Like Son: Jin was an abusive husband, much like his father.
  • Mirror Scare: There is a fakeout one in the beginning.
  • The Moving Experience: Angela and Ma decide to move out after they have dealt with Jin's ghost.
  • Slashed Throat: Harold is killed when Jin slits his throat with glass.
  • Split-Personality Merge: Jin's older and younger ghosts merge after Ma presents him with a necklace that bears the latter's photo.
