Go To

In this two-part episode, Cole learns from Jonas Carr about a copycat serial killer. He looks into it and determines a string of murders mirroring many notorious serial killers. He suspects a Desserian fugitive named Suudor, who was known for doing the same in the Migar System. Cole and Mel manage to find Suudor's apartment and learn that he flew to London. They follow him and meet with Jess and her boyfriend Hunin. Their arrival is noted by an Orsian named Jagar working for Zin. Jess is upset that Hunin still hasn't popped the question. Suudor has chosen to take on the identity of Jack the Ripper and sends a letter to the media announcing Jack's return. Suudor is approached by Jagar, who gives him photos of Mel and Jess. Suudor kills a prostitute, mirroring Jack the Ripper's signature. Cole question another prostitute and learns that Suudor smelled of disinfectant. He goes to the nearby hospital, where Suudor is posing as a surgeon, but the fugitive manages to escape. Cole encounters Jagar and takes his life force. Jess tells Mel that Hunin has invited her to the club where they first met. Knowing it's within Suudor's crime area, Mel convinces her to go elsewhere, but she oversleeps, and Jess and Hunin go to the club anyway. Mel follows her, where she spots Suudor. She goes outside to call Cole, but Suudor grabs her. She runs from him just as Jess and Hunin are coming out. They chase after Mel and Suudor. Suudor overpowers Hunin and prepares to kill Mel. Cole appears and attacks Suudor. Mel, Jess, and Hunin flee, but then another Orsian, Jagar's brother named Haag, appears and stuns Cole with liquid nitrogen pellets. He explains that all this was Zin's plan to lure Cole to them, so they could get all the captured life forces and give them new human bodies. Suudor goes after Mel and is about to slash her throat. Cole, stunned, uses hyperspeed to find them and stop Suudor moments before the blade reached Mel. He takes Suudor's life force. Hunin finally proposes to Jess and she accepts. Cole and Mel return to Chicago.

  • Deadly Doctor: Suudor impersonates a surgeon in order to cut out a patient's organs. The hospital administrator notes that he definitely had medical training, as the cuts were more precise than those of his own surgeons.
  • Jack the Ripoff: Suudor studies high-profile serial killers and copies their signaturest. He did the same thing back in the Migar System, although only humans seem to glorify serial killers.
  • Just in Time: Cole stops Suudor mere moments before his blade makes contact with Mel's throat. Bonus points for being still weak from the liquid nitrogen pellets and his hyperspeed fizzing out.
  • Left Hanging: We never learn how Zin was able to get more of his henchmen to Earth, since Jagar and Haag weren't prisoners on SAR TOP.
  • Multi-Part Episode
  • Vacation Episode: Sort of. While they're hardly on vacation, they do spend some time relaxing and having fun with Jess and Hunin in London.
