Go To

Original airdate: September 8, 1995

Bora Bora: On a tropical island, Pumbaa gets captured by the Three Natives, who make him their god-king and Timon his servant boy.

Saskatchewan Catch: Timon & Pumbaa help a female flying squirrel find love in return for her fetching them some rare tree beetles.

Bora Bora contains examples of:

  • Anger Born of Worry: Timon is furious when, after braving many dangers to find and rescue Pumbaa, he finds the warthog being waited on hand and foot by the natives instead.
  • Nice Job Breaking It, Hero: Pumbaa is able to summon a lightning storm to make fire for the natives. Unfortunately, he forgets to turn it off, resulting in a rainstorm that quenches the fire and incurs the wrath of the chief.
  • "Shaggy Dog" Story: Timon and Pumbaa came to the island believing it to be uninhabited and unspoilt, only to find the Natives living there. At the end of the episode, it transpires that there was a coastal city right on the island all along.
    Timon: Developers. Oy.

Saskatchewan Catch contains examples of:

  • Epic Fail: Pumbaa insinuates that Timon has already fallen from the trees sixteen times trying to catch the beetle.
  • Expospeak Gag: On the second attempt, which involves a see-saw/catapult arrangement, we get this exchange:
Timon: Let's go over it one more time, Pumbaa.
Pumbaa: Have you considered the prevailing south wind as well as the position of the plank on the fulcrum as it relates to our differing body weights?
(Beat as Timon gives an Aside Glance)
Timon: ...I'll make a note of it, Swine-stein.
  • Impact Silhouette: Piper leaves an impressive indent of herself into the tree trunk she and Timon slam into, with Timon's arms sticking out of the sides.
  • Instant Wristwatch: Pumbaa pulls out one of these while waiting for Timon to fall from the trees.
  • Squashed Flat: Timon ends up being crushed flat as paper between Piper and a tree trunk.
  • Watch Out for That Tree!: Happens three times in the segment:
    • After Piper crashes into Timon, knocking him off the tree branch, they both slam into another tree before both of them peel off and plummet to the ground.
      Timon: (dazed) Going down...
    • On his first attempt to catch the male squirrel, Timon slams his head through a tree branch and gets stuck.
    • Timon's final plan works because of this... sort of. Timon intended for the male flying squirrel to fly down after reading the sign saying "STOP! Fresh nuts below!", but the squirrel crashes into it instead.
  • Watch Where You're Going!: Piper makes her entrance by crashing headfirst into Timon.
