A giant spoon crashes in the middle of Townsville without explanation. When the girls investigate, Bubbles suggests it to be the work of aliens which the citizens believe. Soon it doesn't take long for a cult to form around the spoon... with Bubbles as the leader of such. Thus Blossom sets out to try to resolve the situations.
Tropes
- Big Damn Heroes: The Dental Resistance come to the aid of Blossom after she's caught and set to be burned at the stake, or spoon in this case. .
- Big "NO!": Buttercup at the end when she's forced to refund her money.
- Brick Joke: Blossom guesses that the spoon is just a parade float at the start. Turns out she's right.
- Chekhov's Gun: The lolipop the Dental Resistance leader gives to Blossom. Turns out it's a... lightsaber spoon. (Yeah, if you couldn't tell this is a weird episode).
- Cult of Personality: One ends up forming around the spoon and Bubbles since the citizens buy into her explanations.
- Gilligan Cut: After Blossom talks with the Dentist Resistance, she proclaims she should be able to get Bubbles to listen to her and not get caught. A fade later and she's tied to a pole in front of the spoon cult.
- Idiot Ball: Okay, the citizens of Townsville can be stupid but to form a cult just based on Bubbles' ramblings?
- La Résistance: One made up of dentists form against the Spoon cult as Bubbles proclaims the spoon said it doesn't like brushing.
- The Reveal: Eventually revealed that the spoon was just a parade float prop that got caught in a tornado and landed in the middle of town. The owner eventually arrives to claim it and drag it away much to everyone's confusion.
- Running Gag: Buttercup selling merchandise to pretty much all fractions (Robes, armor, etc). Though she loses the money once the matter's resolved and the people decide they want a refund.
- Shout-Out: To Star Wars, specifically The Phantom Menace, in the climax when Blossom and Bubbles uses Lightsaber-like spoons as weapons, with Bubbles using a double sided one.
