Chapter 13: Tomato Terror!

During a delivery run to Tadpole Pond with her fellow apprentices, Luz is recruited to obtain some tomatoes.

Armor-Piercing Response: When Amara questions why Lilly cares about Luz so much, Lilly tells her Luz has been much nicer to her and that Amara should try being more like her, which leaves her speechless.
Big Damn Heroes: Lilly and Gustav show up to help pull Luz back from the tomato plant trying to eat her. They hold out long enough for Uodeela to arrive to kill it.
Fantastic Racism: Amara grew up with her parents telling her that newts were superior to the other Amphibian species. By the chapter's end, she begins to doubt those statements.
