This episode has examples of

  • Flight: In the News Flash sketch, Phyllis plays Mrs. Beverly Shepherd, a woman who the Newsman claims to have made aviation history by flying to Dallas with a pair of homemade wings.
Newsman: Now, can you tell us the details of this astounding accomplishment?
Phyllis: What was so astounding? It was so easy. I just made my wings out of aluminum, and I covered them with chicken feathers, and then I fitted them with straps for my arms.
    Newsman: Yes, yes. Go on.
Phyllis: Then I went out to the airport and boarded a plane for Dallas. What's the big deal?
Newsman: [facepalms] I'm sure I have no idea.
  • Made of Explodium: The Muppet Labs sketch is demonstrating exploding clothing. Given that they're all being worn by Bunsen, it leaves him dazed.
  • Of Corsets Sexy: On her third and final attempt to look younger, Hilda tries on "Very tight foundation garments". It actually works, but before her conversation with Kermit is finished the girdle has a blow out.
  • Trap Door: Fozzie tries to introduce the show. When Kermit protests, Fozzie claims that the frog is working too hard.
Kermit: Okay, fine. You introduce the show, and I will pull the rope. [Walks off.]
    Fozzie: The ro...? What rope?
Kermit: Uh, the rope for the trap door.
Fozzie: The trap doo...? AAAHHH! [He falls through the stage floor.]

Waldorf: I loved it!
[Statler pulls a rope, and Waldorf falls through a trap door]
Waldorf: Oh! I hated it!
