Original air date: 10/3/2005

Episode number: 71a

The Turners move to a new neighborhood, and Timmy soon finds that there's something very strange about the Dimmadome Farms milk that everybody's drinking.

Tropes:

  • Action Survivor: Timmy remains the only one in Dimmadome Acres who does not drink the milk, and refuses to drink it, and thus becomes the one who saves the day with his Mega Fizzy Juice.
  • Bizarre Belching: Burping induced by the Mega Fizzy Juice (a creation of Cosmo) tend to have magical effects on objects the drinker burps on, such as sprouting wings and flying away.
  • Burping Contest: The Dimmsdale Big Burp Off, for which Timmy prepares by drinking loads of Mega Fizzy Juice in the week leading up to it. It pays off.
  • Comically Missing the Point: When Mrs. Turner tells the family where they're moving by holding up a Dimmadome Acres flyer, Mr. Turner immediately assumes they'll be living directly on said flyer.
Mrs. Turner: I did so well, we can now afford to live here! [holds up a Dimmadome Acres flyer]
Mr. Turner: [grabs the flyer] On this piece of paper? ARE YOU MAD, WOMAN???
  • Chekhov's Gun: The Mega Fizzy Juice.
  • Creepy Monotone: Those who are victims of the milk gain these.
  • Individuality Is Illegal: Of a sort. When Mrs. Turner plants a new marbleberry tree in front of their new Dimmadome Acres home, Mr. Turner — brainwashed from the milk — chops it down and incinerates it because it "was making their house unlike all the other houses." When Timmy (who, by this time, is the only one to not have consumed the milk) questions him about the tree, Mr. Turner gradually shifts the topic to Timmy.
Mr. Turner: [talking to Timmy] I had to get rid of it! It did not fit in — like your hat, or your teeth. You're different!
  • No Ontological Inertia: Those who drank the milk don't remember anything they said or did after Timmy releases them from the mind control and restores Dimmadome Acres back to its former state with the Mega Fizzy Juice.
  • Slower Than a Snail: The Dimmadrivers — the free Dimmadome Acres motorized scooters — move at the “very safe” preapproved speed of 2 miles per hour, slow enough for a snail to pass by. When Timmy asks (brainwashed) Chester and A.J. the reason for the speed, they claim that it’d spill their milk.
    • This is later exploited as Timmy tries to escape from his brainwashed family and friends, who try to chase him to the house on their scooters. After Timmy spends a good number of minutes inside confronting his brainwashed fairies and his mother, the scene cuts to Mr. Turner, Chester, and A.J. having barely made it to the front door from the curb... only for Timmy to run back outside and breeze right past them.
  • Spit Take: Timmy does one when Mrs. Turner announces she’d just sold their own house.
  • Stepford Smiler: Everyone in Dimmadome Acres after drinking the milk. Lampshaded by Mr. Turner when they first arrive.
    Mr. Turner: Ooh, creepy smiles!
  • Stepford Suburbia: Dimmadome Acres. At first glance, it's an idyllic neighborhood with pristine houses, a variety of amenities, and bright, smiling faces. Underneath the façade, though, is a plot involving genetically modified milk to trigger mind control — which, as it turns out, contributes to one of Doug Dimmadome's money-making schemes.
  • Suspiciously Similar Substitute: Mr. Darlington, the Turners’ new neighbor, resembles Mr. Dinkleberg with a mustache.
  • Whole-Plot Reference: To The Stepford Wives, what with Timmy and his family moving to a town that turns its residents into mindless zombies...only here it's everyone as opposed to just women....and obviously, no Downer Ending.
  • World-Healing Wave: When Timmy throws a bottle of Mega Fizzy Juice into a giant vat of Dimmadome Farms milk during the climax, it bursts and creates one of these, which erases Dimmadome Acres and restores the area to natural scenery.
