- Adaptation Expansion:
- In the first Adventure Series story "The Airship", Teddy and Grubby meet Gimmick after they stop for a rest. In this episode, Gimmick meets Teddy and Grubby after he rescues them from the Bounders.
- In this episode, Tweeg creates a fake map to send Teddy and his friends in the wrong direction.
- Adapted Out: In "The Airship", as well as the live-action special, the airship flips upside down during its test run. This was left out in the animated series.
- Cliffhanger: The episode ends with the airship falling from the sky after it uses up the last of the slow-burning log as fuel.
- Faeries Don't Believe in Humans, Either: While taking the airship on a test flight, Gimmick crashes it into the tree of Leota the Woodsprite. When she introduces herself. Gimmick says there's no such things as "woodsprites", she quips back that there's no such thing as big bags of air stuck in her tree, yet there it, big as life.
- Fool's Map: After obtaining Gimmick's treasure map, Tweeg creates a fake map to cause Teddy and his friends to go into the wrong direction.
- Oh, Crap!:
- Grubby when the airship is about to collide with Leota's tree.
- L.B. briefly panics when he sees Tweeg's cannon heading straight for him.
- L.B. has another one when he and Tweeg see the Fobs for the first time.
- Teddy, Grubby and Gimmick when they realize they're going to crash in the Great Desert.
- Palate Propping: Twice in the episode, bounders had sticks put in their mouth to stop them from being a threat. In the second case, it was accidentally done with the treasure map, allowing Tweeg to create a Fool's Map.
