Rentarou is scoping out a mall in preparation for a date. While he's impressed by the mall's beauty, a fellow mall-goer is visibly underwhelmed. This gets his attention, with the other taking notice and—ZING!! The girl immediately introduces herself as Mimimi Utsukushisugi before dragging Rentarou to a fashion store. After dressing him up in sparkly white clothes, wig, and colored contacts, the two of them enjoy drinks at the food court, where a number of mall-goers start gawking at them.
As they talk, Mimimi mentions that she had only ever been bested in beauty once in her lifetime, with Rentarou wondering if the single blemish involved Nano. She then flaunts her beauty by explaining the lengths she goes to for the sake of beauty, which annoys a nearby mall-goer enough to try and splash her with his drink. Rentarou, however, intervenes to save Mimimi from getting hit by getting himself splashed instead. As the mall-goer attempt to evade a security guard, he slips on the spilled drink. Before he lands in the puddle, though, Rentarou manages to catch him. The mall-goer tearfully apologizes for antagonizing the duo, and the security guard lets him off with a warning.
Mimimi removes the clothes she bought for Rentarou, envious of his inner beauty. Apologizing for her earlier rudeness, she confesses to Rentarou, who explains that he's willing to accept and that he already has nine other girlfriends. Her joy at being a milestone achievement is supplanted by shock as Shizuka and Nano stumble upon them. Mimimi recognizes the latter, explaining that Nano had slighted her in the past through her beauty. Rentarou's petrification at his accidentally correct guess gives way to shock as Mimimi challenges Nano to a beauty seeking contest, with the loser being exiled from the harem.
To the astonishment of all, Nano accepts the challenge.
