Yor settles down with Loid and Anya after getting legally married (with the certificate being backdated to make it look like they've been married for longer), and Loid sets on his new objective: get Yor and Anya ready for the Eden Academy entrance interview.
Unfortunately, the two of them are unready, much to his distress, so he proposes a cultural day out, hoping that this will help them understand what Eden Academy seeks. A visit to the art museum causes problems between Anya's innocent comments and Yor's fixation on certain paintings. Going to the restaurant sees Anya being picky with her food and Yor being touchy with the knives. And going to the opera causes Anya to fall asleep, while Yor is thoroughly confused.
Yor, seeing that Loid is stressed, suggests going to the park to relax. While there, they find a political rally, where Anya becomes overwhelmed as she hears multiple people's thoughts at the same time. Loid and Yor get her away from the crowd, and a robber steals an old lady's purse. Yor runs after the thief and recovers the purse, but the thief escapes with the money within.
Loid, meanwhile, is trying to find Yor, and Anya decides to attempt to help Loid find the thief. Although she is surrounded by multiple people, this time Anya manages to concentrate her power until she pinpoints the thief, who is passing nearby just now. Not wanting to reveal her power, Anya asks Loid for cake - pointing at a nearby cake shop just as the thief passes by. Loid identifies him, and after Yor catches up to them, he leaves Anya with her while he knocks out the thief for the police. The old lady thanks the Forgers for helping her and notes that they make a wonderful family.
That night, Loid conducts a second mock interview, and, while not perfect, he notes a great improvement, so the mission still has a chance of success.
Tropes that appear in this episode:
- And Call Him "George": Anya is not amused when she reads Yor's mind and finds out she once accidentally broke her brother's ribs by hugging him too tightly.
- At the Opera Tonight: Twilight takes Yor and Anya out in an attempt to turn them into the kind of family the interviewers of Eden Academy would like to see, which includes going to the opera so they could get some finer culture. The show puts Anya to sleep and thoroughly confuses Yor.
- Bully Hunter: Yor quickly runs to try to stop a man who robbed an old lady's purse.
- Power-Strain Blackout: Anya tries to listen to the thoughts of everyone in the street to learn more about the thief's location but it takes its toll on her and she gets a Psychic Nosebleed and passes out.
- She Is Not My Girlfriend: When Anya sees the Held Gaze between Loid and Yor after he thanked Yor for her help in the thieving case, Anya proclaims that the two are flirting which both vehemently deny.
- Troubled Fetal Position: In the anime, this is Anya's reaction after finding out Yor has accidentally broke her brother's ribs by hugging too hard.
- Unreveal Angle: Continuing the Plot-Based Photograph Obfuscation from the previous episode, this time Loid and Yor are looking at Yor and Yuri's photograph on the table but from an angle hidden from the audience.
