Karolina, Nico, and Molly try to retrieve the Staff of One, but Tina puts up a fight. Karolina grows closer to Jonah while Alex and Livvie share a kiss.
- Breather Episode: Despite a confrontation with Tina, the episode remains quite calm mostly, focusing more on the relationshps between the characters.
- Curb-Stomp Battle: Karolina, Nico and Molly are pretty helpless against Tina.
- I Am Not Left-Handed: Karolina reveals that she now (after her training with Jonah) doesn't need her bracelet anymore to control her powers.
- Internal Reveal: Alex tells the group that he has been working with Darius Davis.
- Magic Feather: Jonah describes Karolina's bracelet this way, saying that she doesn't need anything outside of herself to control her power.
- Pet the Dog: While the group is more angry at Alex for secretly working with Darius, Molly says "at least he told us the truth".
- Relationship Upgrade: While it was more of a situational hook-up last season with an uncertain situation afterwards, Gert and Chase now make their relationship official.
- Ship Tease: Alex has some more with Darius' sister-in-law Livvie, and the two later share a kiss.
- What the Hell, Hero?: Nico calls out Karolina for not using her powers before since she had better control of it. Angry that Nico blames her for the fight, Karolina tells her she's sorry for being a disappointment.
- You Can't Go Home Again: Tina gives Nico a choice - stay and work it out or leave, and the next time they meet, they won't be a family anymore and she'll treat her as a real enemy. Nico chooses the latter. After she's gone, Tina says she never thought Nico would take that option.
- You Monster!: What Nico calls her mother when she is on the verge of drowning Molly. It makes her stop and hand over the staff.
