Go To

Written and storyboarded by Calvin Wong and Minty Lewis

Mordecai, Rigby, Muscle Man and Hi-Five Ghost want to get a stuntman license for a kid's 10th birthday party, and get training from a former stuntman (voiced by Bobcat Goldthwait).

Tropes

  • Bowdlerization: In the UK, Rigby's line "Are you...talking to me? Because..." and his pointing to his own eye when he speaks to Johnny Crasher (who has a lazy eye) was changed to remove the implications that Rigby was calling attention to Johnny Crasher's lazy eye (which was most likely seen by British censors as someone being insensitive to someone with a disability. The BBFC does censor anything that can be considered discriminatory due to race, sexuality, or disability, which is why the words "spaz" and "moron" are edited, as the UK still uses those words to mean someone who has mental retardationnote ).
  • Car Hood Sliding: Lesson II of the Stuntman Academy is Rolling Over Cars.
  • Chuck Cunningham Syndrome: Timmy is treated as being super beloved to the gang, and the fact that they apparently celebrate his birthday every year is brought up... and he's never seen again. Most likely this is a parody of that sort of trope (as well as Remember the New Guy?), especially given the oddity of seeing a human character be treated with so much importance without them being an antagonist.
  • Knows a Guy Who Knows a Guy: For once, Muscle Man doesn't have one of these.
Muscle Man: Well, I might know a guy who...actually, no. I don't know any stuntmen. Ugh! You're losin' it, Mitch!
  • Training Montage: Mordecai, Rigby, Muscle Man and Hi-Five Ghost go through a grueling day of Stuntman Academy.
  • Unflinching Walk: Lesson XXIV of the Stuntman Academy is Walking from Explosions & Looking Cool. The guys have stern faces as they power walk past exploding barrels.
