Two years have passed since Dion's fight with the Crooked Man. Dion is now training his powers at Biona alongside other superpowered people under the guidance of coach Tevin, while secretly keeping an eye on his neighborhood with help of Esperanza and Jonathan. Meanwhile, Brayden, now posessed by the Crooked Man, makes his way to Atlanta and gets into Dion's class as a new student, while a mysterious sinkhole appears outside the school and a familiar face returns.

- Ass Hole Victim: We first get to see the Crooked Man is actually a seperate entity that can exist independently from Brayden when he attacks and kills a man who robbed Brayden of his backpack just outside the arcade.
- Glowing Flora: The Crooked Man/Brayden creates these in the sinkhole outside the school. Their spores infect a security guard.
- Mind Control: Brayden now has this power on top of his mindreading. He uses it to make the lady at an arcade give him a prize he didn't have enough tickets for, and to make a random man and woman drive him to Atlanta, posing as his parents.
- Mentor Archetype: Tevin becomes Dion's coach and trainer as of this episode.
- Mundane Utility: By lack of any real crime, Dion's superheroing consists of him doing minor chores around the neighborhood, like closing the lids of dumpsters and properly delivering the newspapers that the paper boy just dumped on the porches.
- Running Gag: Dion losing his phone and having to quickly retrieve it before his mom finds out. This leads to him being at Biona just in time to overhear an important discussion between Susan Wu and David Marsh
- Some of My Best Friends Are X: Discussed; when Tevin gets the impression Nicole doesn't like him because he is gifted, and Nicole tries to convince him that's not the case, he mentions how Nicole will now probably say that some of her friends are gifted.
- Time Skip: Two years have passed since the events of Season 1.
- Wham Shot: The final shot of the episode reveals the intruder at Biona is Pat, alive and well.
