It's Shani's birthday and Polly, Lila, and Nic want to give her the best gift by recreating her favorite, discontinued candy.

- All for Nothing: All the hard work and danger the trio went through to get Shani her favorite candy ends up being for nothing, as the finished candy gets crushed when they’re trying to escape the factory. Luckily, Shani doesn’t mind and reminds them that it’s the memory that’s important, not the candy.
- Apathetic Clerk: The employee giving the group a tour of the candy factory seems very bored with his job and speaks in a sarcastic, monotone voice.
- Birthday Episode: It’s Shani’s birthday in this episode.
- Conspiracy Theorist: After looking it up online, Nic becomes convinced that there’s a conspiracy surrounding the discontinuation of “Queen Worm” candy.
- Conveyor Belt of Doom: Twice in this episode; apparently candy factories are more dangerous than you’d think.
- First when Polly, Lila, and Nic have to avoid getting twisted up into pretzels and baked in a fiery oven.
- Then again when they almost get squished by a machine pressing caramels.

- Human Shield: As the candy-making robots shoot lasers at them, Lila suggests that Nic use his body to block them. Unsurprisingly, he doesn’t appreciate this.

- Indy Hat Roll: Polly narrowly makes it through the closing candy slot by shrinking herself down even further and rolling underneath the rapidly narrowing space.
- Pungeon Master: Nic makes a pretty solid pun when, shrunken down to tiny size, he, Lila, and Polly land in piles of pretzel dough.Nic: Now we’re rolling in dough!
- Real After All: Nic’s theory of the “Queen Worm” candy being discontinued because it was the main food source for lizard aliens ends up being true, as the piece of candy he’s about to eat gets snatched out of his hand by the tour guide’s long lizard tongue.
- Sticky Situation: On the caramel Conveyor Belt of Doom, Lila gets her foot stuck in a pile of caramel and Polly has to bite her free so she doesn’t get squashed by the machine.
- What Is This Feeling?: After Nic saves her, Lila remarks that she’s getting a strange feeling in her chest. Polly suggests it might be gratitude. Turns out it was just gas, as she burps in his face.
- You Shall Not Pass!: The trio is almost out of the factory when the robot making the candy refuses to let them pass as it identifies them as defective candies.
