Ash and Goh head to Unova to explore the Colossus Ruins, where a giant Golurk is discovered to be sealed inside. When it awakes, all the trainers there engage in a Raid Battle against it.
- The Cameo: Shane Seeker’s PokeDex shows that he has shiny variations of Bagon, Onix, Slakoth, and Swinub.
- Exotic Eye Designs: The only time the excavation leader opens his eyes, they appear as stars.
- Eyes Always Shut: The lead archeologist until he thinks an adventure is about to start, then his eyes open. Unlike Brock, however, we never get to see whites and pupils but instead his eyes become stars.
- Indy Escape: Ash steps on a trap panel, and he and Goh end up outrunning a boulder.
- Large Ham: The lead archeologist in the episode. Especially at the thought of an "Adventure!" and goes all starry-eyed.
