Recap / Phineas And Ferb The Return Of The Rogue Rabbit

Go To

Doofenshmirtz seeks out the assistance of notorious rogue former OWCA agent Dennis the Rabbit. Meanwhile, Phineas and Ferb help spruce up Isabella's Fireside Girls marionette show.

Tropes:

  • The Alcatraz: The prison that Dennis is being kept in is called "OWCA-Traz".
  • Borrowed Catchphrase: Phineas asks the truck driver if he's a little young to be driving a truck, since the driver has a face like an infant. The driver replies, "No. No I'm not." and points to the truck's logo:
Singer: Babyface Truckin', Our Drivers Look Like Children, But They're Not!
  • The Bus Came Back: Dennis the Rogue Rabbit from "No More Bunny Business" returns in this episode.
  • Change the Uncomfortable Subject: When Isabella at first mistakes Phineas' suggestion of taking to the next level, she at first thinks she's talking about their relationship and gets excited, but then realizes he meant the puppet. She decides to break the tension with "Hey, where's Perry?"
  • Creepy Doll: The giant Fireside Girl marionette comes off as this. The song that accompanies it is not exactly doing it any favors.
  • Insistent Terminology: Major Monogram initially classifies rabbits as rodents, but Carl corrects him to say "lagomorph", since rabbits were re-classified as such in the 20th century.
  • Sequel Episode: This is a follow-up to No More Bunny Business.
  • Sickeningly Sweet: Stacy does her best not to throw up upon seeing Candace's reaction to the return of "Mr. Cutie Patootie".
  • Shout-Out:
    • The puppet show the Fireside Girls performs is called "The Denmother", and the titular character's voice is based on Marlon Brando's.
    • Norm immediately finds Dennis adorable and wanting to cuddle him. Doof tells him to, "Back off, Lennie, you're creeping me out."
  • Transforming Mecha: The suit that Doof gives Dennis is this.
