After falling into the toilet, Pumpkin has decided to give up using it until she's old enough, which is unfortunate as she was planning to encourage Pound to use his potty by using the toilet. This makes her unhappy, and Pinkie Pie reassures her that everypony learns to use the toilet someday, which does cheer Pumpkin up to an extent, but it's very slight.
Pinkie Pie decides to take Pumpkin outside for a bit but Pumpkin is nervous because this is the first time she's been outside since starting potty training and she's afraid that if she needs to use her potty, she won't make it in time. Pinkie Pie notices that Pumpkin looks worried and assumes that she's embarrassed about her diaper, so she lets her go commando.
Despite Pinkie Pie being wrong about Pumpkin's reason for worrying, this does make her worries go away— she's pretty sure that Pound, being worse at using the potty than her, won't be allowed to go commando as well and she's excited to have something to gloat about, plus being teased might make him want to use his potty.
Pumpkin is let out, but not before Pinkie Pie warns her that if she has even one accident, she will not be allowed to go out with no diaper on again. When she's outside, Pound is surprised to find his sister allowed to be naked and Pinkie Pie again reminds her not to have an accident.
Once Pinkie Pie has left, Pound angrily asks Pumpkin why she's allowed to run around naked. She replies that it's because she uses her potty but he still doesn't want to use his because he thinks it's boring. Pumpkin plays around but gets so engrossed that she doesn't realise she has to poop until the urge becomes severe.
Pound notices she looks out of sorts, so he asks her what's wrong and she replies that she needs to use her potty but isn't sure she'd make it in time. He suggests using his diaper, but she says no because she's too old, so he suggests using something in place of a potty.
Pumpkin doesn't know what to use, so Pound looks around and thinks of a flowerpot. After all, the Apples occasionally do their business on their crops to help them grow. Pumpkin uses the flowerpot but now she has to somehow wipe. Pound fills his diaper up with sand, then Pinkie Pie takes him in to be changed.
