"One Tough Cream Puff" (inexplicably named "Kirby vs. Waddle Dees 2" on YouTube) is the second episode of the reboot season era of Battle Of The Multiverse and the first full-length episode of said era. On Reddit, this was the first episode of the series "What if a random cartoon character was in Happy Tree Friends." However, the series is currently discontinued and it is unknown if another entry will be released for the Reddit-exclusive series.
The episode begins with HAL Laboratory's Kirby, who has found some Waddle Dees eating food and proceeds to invade their feast in an attempt to eat them. He crashes the Waddle Dee's gathering in a futile attempt to devour the unexpecting creatures, where he is taken away by an eagle. He fights back again by disguising himself in a cake and unleashing a surprise attack onto one of the Waddle Dees, successfully eating him in the process. However, the Waddle Dee from within has another trick up his sleeve by raising a magnet in Kirby's stomach, which provokes Cold-Blooded Torture onto Kirby, causing him to be stabbed in the back by many sharp objects, have his mouth skinned, his skull cracked broken by an anvil, and be crushed by a cluster of massive items.
"One Tough Cream Puff" contains the following:
- Attack the Mouth: The Waddle Dees take advantage of the magnetic pull from within Kirby's stomach, by having his lips shaved off by a razor.
- Cold-Blooded Torture: The Waddle Dees inflict this on Kirby.
- Cruel and Unusual Death: When one of the Waddle Dees is swallowed, he raises up a magnet from within Kirby's belly, leading to many hazards attracting towards the poor cream-puff, causing him to be stabbed, cleaved, and wounded to death.
- Establishing Character Moment: Kirby suffering Cold-Blooded Torture for the majority of his spotlight.
- Hero Antagonist: Sympathetic or not, Kirby is played as the villain against the Waddle Dees, who are mainly attacking out of self-defense.
- Hollywood Magnetism: One of the Waddle Dees wields a magnetic all while located in Kirby's gut, prompting many perilous objects to propel towards Kirby.
- Jumping Out of a Cake: A cake falls out of the sky and onto the Waddle Dees' plate, which Kirby pops out of, as a form of a surprise attack.
- Laser-Guided Karma: Kirby actually deserves his death this time around, as he provoked the Waddle Dees and plots to ingest them.
- Mythology Gag: The title "One Tough Cream Puff" is based on a nickname Kirby is given in an American commercial for Kirby's Adventure.
- Swallowed Whole: Kirby manages to eat one of the Waddle Dees, but the Waddle Dee survives and doesn't suffer a worst fate than being stranded inside the puffball's stomach.
- They Killed Kenny Again: Kirby die.
- Throw the Dog a Bone: The Waddle Dees and Waddle Doo survive.
- Trauma Conga Line: Kirby suffers once more soon as he swallows the Waddle Dee with a magnet.
