Till Death Do Us Part is the fifth episode of the twentieth series of Midsomer Murders and was first aired through Acorn TV streaming service to the U.S. on 3rd May 2018 and was broadcast in the U.K on 2nd June 2019.

Barnaby and Sarah attend a family wedding when the bride disappears during the reception, revealing a murderer's penchant for newlyweds.

Tropes:

  • Accidental Murder: Aisha Khalique is shoved by the killer in an attempt to intimidate her, only to stumble over the edge of the balcony and fall to her death.
  • Blood-Splattered Wedding Dress: Serena Madison is shot with ball bearings while modelling a wedding dress at a bridal show, leading to this trope.
  • Dead Animal Warning: Laurel Newman is being trolled by someone who is sending her dead animals with ribbons tied around their tongues.
  • Killer Outfit: Laurel Newman, the first Victim of the Week, is tortured by being held on the bed on her front and having her corset being pulled too tightly. This causes massive internal bleeding when a broken rib punctures her spleen.
  • Recorded Audio Alibi: The murderer hosts a popular radio show in which they establish a false alibi by airing a prerecorded episode during the murder.
  • Shout-Out: This episode takes some elements from the 1944 movie Laura, including the name of the first victim, Laurel, and the murderer hosting a popular radio show in which they establish a false alibi by airing a prerecorded episode during the murder, although that plot point is a red herring in this episode.
  • Widowed at the Wedding: New bride Laurel is murdered when she leaves the wedding reception to change out of her wedding dress.
