Dethklok: The Movie
Dethklok decides to go into acting, leading to the creation of the movie Blood Ocean.

This episode contains the following tropes:

  • Bad "Bad Acting": Nathan's and Murderface's line delivery in Blood Ocean.
  • Make It Look Like an Accident: The end of the episode has the Dethcopter's rear rotors slice open an oil pipe, spilling oil and starting a fire on the platform to destroy the only print of "Blood Ocean."
  • Ninja Pirate Zombie Robot: Dethklok's roles in Blood Ocean. Pickles is a karate spy, Murderface the serial killer cop, Skwisgaar a space viking, Nathan the 'blood ocean philospher', and Toki Wartooth as a lost cowboy.
  • Hong Kong Dub: In-universe. This happens to Skwisgaar after the director can't understand what he's saying. And Skwisgaar is pissed. Their producer Mr. Grischnackh calls it a movie full of mumbling idiots no one can understand and has no ending.
  • Never Trust a Trailer: The trailer for "Blood Ocean" makes it look like a hard boiled action flick. The actual movie is the guys going off on rambling tangents on blood, oceans, and blood oceans, along with a Random Events Plot.
  • Polish the Turd: In-universe, James Grishnackh, the film's producer, announces that he's going to make sure Blood Ocean makes its money back, and says that he's gone so far as to bribe every critic out there.
  • Random Events Plot: From what little can be discerned of the plot of Blood Ocean, it is not a very well-connected story. None of the characters seem to have any relation to each other, and there's no clear sign of what the driving conflict or narrative is, even though the main cast regularly exposits their motivation.
  • Shout-Out: The replacement director for "Blood Ocean", J.F. Amarth, is a reference to Amon Amarth.
  • Troubled Production: In-Universe, Blood Ocean has taken 13 months and $500 million dollars to make with the band going through directors left and right. One director is Driven to Suicide while the other is killed by Pickles impaling him with a forklift. The producer, Mr. Grischnackh is understandably angry with this, having blown more money an a movie than anyone in history.
