There's a big race happening in the desert of KikoRiki island. The cars of the participants are at the start. Pin starts a reverse report, but suddenly a kettle is triggered on Olga and Carlin's car. The participants take the whistle as a signal to start and begin the race before Pin could finish.

Krash and Chiko’s car is the fastest, but because of the noise, Krash does not hear Chiko's commands, and their car crashes into a cactus and falls apart.

Pin repairs the balloon and broadcasts the race. Dokko and Barry’s cars matched Olga and Carlin's cars. Rosa and Wally's bike is the slowest, but the most safe. They arrive at the crash site of Krash and Chiko's car and offer them to hop in, so they could arrive to the finish line together.

Olga and Carlin's cars pull forward, but Dokko activates the acceleration of his car, allowing them to overtake their opponents. Carlin and Olga's car explodes from overheating and knocks down Pin's balloon. Barry and Dokko cheerfully proclaim themselves a champions, and do not notice how their car takes off and crashes.

Rosa and Wally's bike reaches the finish line. Krash and Chiko are surprised to see the Desert Cup and rejoice in their victory. The rest of the KikoRiki are slowly dragging the wreckage of their cars to the finish line.

Tropes:

  • Added Alliterative Appeal: In 4Kids dub, Pin refers to the titular racing event as the "Double Desert Dash"
  • Burning Rubber: The car of Dokko and Barry use leaves two fiery streaks behind after the latter uses his computer t make it go faster.
  • Cactus Cushion: After crashing their car, Dokko and Barry fall into a thicket of cacti.
  • Commercial Break Cliffhanger: Pin directly says that the race is about to be interrupted by the advertisements in the most inappropriate time. It then cuts to Dokko, Olga, and Barry advertising shampoo, skis, and pickles respectively.
  • Slow and Steady Wins the Race: Krash and Chiko went too fast and couldn't hear each other well to turn on time, which ends with them crashing onto a cactus very early on in the race. Carlin and Olga tried to go faster than their car could handle, leading to the overheat. Barry and Dokko get too distracted cheering their apparent victory, which results in them not looking where they drive and being likewise eliminated. This leaves Rosa and Wally (and also Krash and Chiko, who they pick up) on their slow bike as a victors. Also doubles as Victory by Endurance.
  • Surprisingly Realistic Outcome: The episode is filled with this:
    • The race starts before Pin is able to finish the countdown because Olga and Carlin's cart powers up its engines, which also include a kettle. When said kettle goes off, all other racers (sans Rosa and Wally) take this as the horn and they all slam on the gas before Pin can stop them.
    • Shortly after the racers had started, Pin realizes he has no choice but start the race up properly since everyone has left the starting line by this point. He fires the gun in the air with a sigh - except he doesn't check where exactly he was aiming at (and neither do the viewers at first), and ends up shooting straight through the hot air balloon he was spectating the game from, causing the aircraft to plummet down.
    • Krash and Chiko's cart is the fastest of the four, but in order to achieve such great speed capacity the engine must work at its limits - and it also generates a lot of noise. As result, Krash and Chiko fail to hear each other clearly when they need to turn left and as result end up crashing into the very first obstacle on the track.
    • Olga and Carlin's cart cannot be powered up without limits, which the two find out the hard way when the cart overheats so much it explodes, taking the car out of action.
    • With them having taken the lead following the above, Barry and Dokko start celebrating their victory too early, with their eyes closed. Because they were no longer paying attention to the road, they end up swerving off the track, crashing their cart and then falling right into the field of cacti.
  • Wacky Racing: The whole episode is about a wacky race on a go-carts in teams of two.
