Summary
Now, only three of us remain in the final round of Kick the Can.
When this round is over, the winner will obtain their ideal world.
...Or so we thought.
Na-Go finally manages to kick the can, only for the Jyamar Area to expand before it could cross the threshold. This causes the can to end up in the hands of the final boss yet again, further increasing its power. Ace explains that like all Jyamato, the boss is one that is constantly evolving; thus, adapting and improvising is necessary.
Just then, the mysterious Game Master appears before Ace, Neon, and Michinaga with three eggs, which he says are the key to defeating the boss. He then tasks them with a special mission: should they successfully raise and hatch the eggs, they will provide items that will aid them in their goal.
Determined to win the title of Desashin once again, Ace accepts the mission, protecting his egg while fighting the Jyamato. However...
Tropes
- Book Ends: The episode begins with a young couple cooing over their baby, with them doing the same after their deaths are undone in the Reset Button Ending.
- Broken Faceplate: Buffa has his visor cracked and a horn broken off after being swatted by the Knight Jyamato.
- Dead Person Conversation: Michinaga talks with Tohru before the final battle, though it's implied he's only imagining the latter.
- Downer Beginning: The opening features the deaths of a couple via being crushed under the Knight Jyamato's foot, with their infant child being killed — offscreen, thankfully — by a Pawn Jyamato right after.
- Egg Sitting: To help defeat the Jyamato, the Game Master gives the Riders eggs to hatch to get Raise Buckles to fight.
- Foreshadowing: Ace is shown practicing his boxing skills, foreshadowing the appearance of the Monster Raise Buckle.
- Freeze-Frame Bonus: Ace's wish can only be seen slightly when Tsumuri rereads it, which is having her and Girori becoming part of his family.
- Match Cut: Between the Knight Jyamato swallowing its can and Tsumuri gulping nervously.
- Mood Whiplash: The scene where a baby is killed is almost immediately followed by the Riders' shenanigans with their eggs.
- Pet the Dog: Ace gives Michinaga and Neon some words of encouragement shortly before they're eliminated and the current DGP round formally ends.
- The Reveal:
- PunkJack's user is briefly revealed shortly after Ace defeats the Knight Jyamato.
- Girori is the true identity of the Game Master.
- Video Will: The night before the final fight, Neon records what may be her last livestream, thanking her fans for always sticking by her and bidding them goodbye.
- Wham Shot: The Game Master doffs his mask and hood in the last scene... revealing it to be Girori beneath them.
