Summary

Koichi and Chisa inform Class 78 that the student body will be holding a Spring festival and that they must elect a Class Representative to help plan the event. Who will the Class elect as their Representative?

Tropes

• The Cameo: Chiaki makes an appearance as Class 77's Class Representative.
• Class Representative: Makoto's made Class 78's class rep.
• Exhausted Eye Bags: Makoto sports these after pulling several all-nighters with Chiaki.
• Landslide Election: Makoto easily becomes Class 78's Class Representative due to him being the only one nominated and the other students either aren't interested or vote for him.
• Must Have Caffeine: Having to pull some all-nighters helping Chiaki with the School Festival causes Makoto to take a cup of coffee that Kyoko had in order to stay awake, though she does make sure he doesn't develop a caffeine addiction and tells him to take a nap. This still carries over in the present, as we see in a flashback.
  Present!Kyoko: Makoto Naegi, that's way too much coffee at once!
  Present!Makoto: But honey, we're in a crunch at the school. I've got a lot of meetings and paperwork on my plate, and I need the caffeine to keep myself awake.
  Present!Kyoko: I don't care! This is a real problem, Makoto. You can't be drinking this much coffee. I'm cutting you off; from now on, you'll get ONE cup in the morning, then I'm locking the rest of the coffee where you can't get it. And just to be safe, I'm calling Hajime so he can make sure you don't become an addict.
  Present!Makoto: But honey...
  Present!Kyoko: Don't HONEY me! And no buts; this is for your own good, sweetie!
• Overworked Sleep: At Kyoko's suggestion, Makoto takes a nap after pulling several all-nighters. Unfortunately, he was so exhausted that he ends up being late for the school festival's opening ceremonies.
