That time evil was defeated by stealing a guy's sweat.

He sang a sweet song in tones so full and soft that no human ear could resist them nor fathom their origin.

When Rosalee serves on the jury of a murder trial, Monroe suspects the defence lawyer is a Ziegevolk using his pheremones to tamper with the case. Can the Grimm gang scupper the crooked attorney before a killer is set free?

Nick asks Monroe to take Juliette to the trailer, but she's quickly overwhelmed by the memories the visit triggers.

This episode provides examples of:

  • Amoral Attorney: The Ziegevolk in this episode is a lawyer who uses his enhanced pheromones to sway the jury to favor his clients.
  • Beware the Nice Ones: When Kellogg comes to the Spice Shop seeking a cure for whatever's wrong with his pheromones, he recognises Rosalee from the jury and tries to attack her. Monroe throws him across the shop and into a shelf, flat-out telling Nick when he pulls him off that he just saved the guy's life. You do NOT mess with Rosalee in front of Monroe.
  • Call-Back:
    • To "Lonely Hearts", although this Ziegevolk is a lawyer using his pheromones for professional gain by influencing witnesses and the jury in a murder trial.
    • Overwhelmed by memories of Nick, Juliette turns to Pilar, the woman from "La Llorona", for help.
  • Dramatic Irony: Kellogg's rough night, courtesy of our heroes who need some of his sweat to make the antidote. He comes out of a bar with a girl on his arm, only to be chased down the street by a crazy Blutbad. Luckily, he runs into a helpful handyman who drives him to safety in his pickup, and even lends him a hanky to wipe the sweat off his face before dropping him off at his hotel. The audience recognise Monroe and Bud, but the whole setup is a surprise for Kellogg when he finds them all, plus the cops who interviewed him next morning, hanging out at the Spice Shop together.
  • Funny Background Event: Monroe stealing the Ziegevolk's toads, doctoring them with the pheromone antidote and returning them, all behind the guy's back as Nick and Hank keep him distracted.
  • Oh, Crap!: When Monroe steals the briefcase containing Kellogg's toads, only to find there are two toads in there, and he has one antidote. He just picks one and hopes for the best.
  • Questionable Consent: Before the plan to steal his sweat begins, the Ziegevolk leaves a hotel with a beautiful woman on his arm, implying that in addition to jury and witness tampering he's also using his enhanced pheromones to get women.
  • Refuge in Audacity: As Nick arrests him for trying to assault Rosalee, Kellogg screams that they've poisoned him into losing his powers. Nick points out that no one will ever believe him.
  • Sanity Slippage: Continues for Juliette as her visit to Nick's trailer sets off more memories than she can handle.
  • Shout-Out: The title is based on 12 Angry Men.
