A visit to Cesare and Rex's hometown turns into a working vacation when they discover their "Abuela" is harboring a unique strain of EVOs who transform every night. Cesar must race against time to find a cure for their mutation as Hunter Cain has bribed his way out of Providence custody, assembled another lynch mob, and is salivating at the thought of several dozen EVOs under house arrest and unable to fight back.

- Bait-and-Switch: At first, it seems the antidote has rendered Federico a werewolf even in the daylight. But it turns out, the antidote worked in its own way: he now has control over when he can change into a werewolf or not.
- The Bus Came Back: Hunter Cain returns in this episode, still hunting EVOs after his anti-EVO campaign to ruin Rex's reputation failed.
- Cool Old Lady: Abuela not only watches over werewolf EVOs every night, but when Hunter Cain is about to lead a lynch mob to destroy them and Rex, she calls him out on his bigotry and says their home has no room for his hatred.
- Earn Your Happy Ending: Now that the "antidote" grants Federico and Abuela's other tenants the ability to control their EVO forms, they are free to roam about at night without fear of transforming. As Abuela so puts it, it's time for all her tenants to go and live their lives. Especially Federico, who could only dream of being a professional soccer player before he was cured.
- Our Werewolves Are Different: Abuela's tenants can assume human form by day. But by night, they are forced to take on the form of EVO werewolves and attack everything. And the worst part is, Rex cannot cure them.
