To Outfox a Fox is the 18th episode in Series 8 of Fireman Sam.
There's a fox on the loose in Pontypandy, which Norman, Mandy, Tom, and Moose intend to catch. Meanwhile, Elvis takes his advanced driving test.
Tropes:
- Butt Biter: Referenced: Norman quips that Tom and Moose couldn't find a fox if it bit them on the bottom.
- The Dreaded: Elvis' stomach drops as soon as he realizes Chief Fire Officer Boyce will be taking him on his advanced driving test, as Boyce is notoriously strict.
- Hammerspace: Once Elvis and Sam are done using a plate as a mock steering wheel, Sam tucks the plate into an unseen pocket, making it disappear.
- Off-Model: While declaring to Mike that he and Moose are the wild men of Pontypandy, Tom goes wall-eyed.
- Tempting Fate: Moose insists to Mandy that he won't get stuck in the fox's den. He enters, and almost immediately gets stuck, with Tom following suit not long after.
