Peter and Lois travel to Florida for a vacation and discover that they've rented a condo within a retirement community. Meanwhile, back in Quahog, Brian decides to help Stewie accomplish a special milestone: his first shower.
Tropes:
- Butt-Monkey: Cleveland is forced to bring up his dead mother while Joe talks about his own mom spending winters in Buffalo, New York. Then, after Joe's plan to steal Peter's legs falls apart, Cleveland gets his legs stolen.
- Continuity Nod: Cleveland brings up his mother's death, which is first mentioned in "Baby Stewie".
- Foreshadowing: When Lois stumbles across the chart for who gets her and Peter's body parts, Peter's legs are labeled "Joey".
- Organ Theft:
- It turns out that the senior citizens in Florida have been faking how nice they are so they can harvest Peter and Lois' organs. It also turns out that Joe was in on this scheme so he could get new legs. When that plan fails, he settles for stealing Cleveland's legs.
- The actual problems with such a setup are acknowledged when Peter is asked how often he drinks and reveals his rampant alcoholism. The surgeon decides that Beggars Can't Be Choosers but is clearly not happy.
- Series Continuity Error:
- Lois claims that she and Peter haven't traveled in years despite previous episodes contradicting this statement. In particular, they travelled to Nantucket and stayed in an AirBnB only seven episodes ago.
- The B-plot revolves around Stewie taking his first shower, with Brian helping him in spite of a traumatic memory of his first shower. However, Stewie had taken a shower with Brian back in "Stuck Together, Torn Apart" when their hands were super-glued, and Brian had taken plenty of showers on numerous occassions over the series, notably before his beatdown by Stewie in "Patriot Games" and Quagmire in "Quagmire's Dad".
- Moreover, in the flashback, Brian is a puppy and already lives with Peter and Lois. In "Brian: Portrait of a Dog", however, he was found by Peter as an adult.
- Vacation Episode: The A-plot concerns Peter and Lois traveling to Florida for a vacation after Joe rents out his mother's condo to them.
