When Quahog's crime rate skyrockets, the Griffins move to farm to enjoy a simpler and more peaceful life—but when they don't make any money by selling crops, they eventually discover a meth lab in their basement and decide to make money by becoming meth dealers.


Tropes:

  • All for Nothing: Early in the episode, Brian leaves for agriculture school to learn how to manage the farm better. When he returns, the farm has been turned into a meth distribution center and the farm is eventually destroyed in an explosion.
  • Censorship by Spelling: After the family find the lab in the cellar and realize it's for making meth.
    Lois: Meth? As in D-R-U-G-S? Aren't those I-L-L-E-G-A-L?
    Stewie: What's going on? What are you guys talking about?
    Lois: Uh oh, someone's getting cranky. [picks up Stewie] I think he needs an N-A-P.
    Stewie: What's happening? Where are you taking me? Man, I got to crack this code.
  • Dog Got Sent to a Farm: When the Griffins decide to move to a farm, they tell Brian that he's going to be living on a farm soon, he freaks out when he thinks this means they're going to have him put down. He screams that they'll never take him alive, pulls out a gun, and takes Stewie hostage.
  • Down on the Farm: The Griffins move to a farm for this episode.
  • Incest Subtext: Peter finds Chris and Meg in the kitchen, exhausted, after "plowing" all morning.
  • Intangible Theft: When the Griffin's house was robbed, Peter mentions that they somehow stole his "sense of wonder". Cut to Peter looking at a rainbow, then turning away, completely unfazed.
  • Rule 63: In a Cutaway Gag, Peter and Lois agree to make out in one of the restaurant bathrooms. When Peter comes out of the bathroom thanking Lois, she says she didn't go in with him. The person who he made out with turns out to be a male clone of Lois, who sits at a table with a female clone of Peter.
  • Time to Move: The Griffins move to a farm to in order to escape the high crime rate of Quahog, though they end up moving back at the end of the episode after the farm is destroyed in an explosion.
