- Santa Claus: Tobias spends most of the episode avoiding him because he's worried about what Santa will think of him accidentally breaking Donnie's toy. Santa, however, is happy with his hard work and gives him a promotion. He also reveals that he's been following Doc McStuffins' career with considerable interest and offers her a job, but she declines.
- Running Gag: Commander Crash keeps trying to transform into a spaceship like his toy normally can, but forgets that he’s broken.
- Tears of Joy: Tobias starts crying happy tears when Doc helps him fix the toy he broke so he can keep being a delivery elf.
- True Meaning of Christmas: When Santa asks Doc if there’s anything special she wants for Christmas, she says she just wants to be able to make it back home in time to spend it with her family and friends.Santa: You truly have the Christmas spirit!
- Unwanted Rescue: Stuffy doesn't really want to be rescued when Lambie and Chilly come for him because he's getting a special plush toy treatment. The two soon join him in being pampered.
