Darkwing visits Morgana's father's house and meets her family, who are upset to find out that she is dating a normal.
This episode contains examples of the following tropes:
- Creepy Family: The Macawbers are a family of all sorts of monsters.
- Fantastic Racism: Morgana’s family is biased against “normals”. Darkwing is more offended to be considered normal than anything else. Likewise, the townspeople are biased against monsters.
- Friendly Neighborhood Vampire: Launchpad remains his Nice Guy self even after Moloculo turns him into a vampire bat. Naturally, he gets horrified when he realizes he's craving blood and tries his best to control it.
- Hypocritical Humor:
- After both of them get turned into monstrous animals, Darkwing tells Launchpad to try to control his animal instincts, right before he chases a cat.
- Morgana says she'd teach Darkwing and her father the value of resolving a situation peacefully even if she had to kill them.
- Like Parent, Like Spouse: The conflict of the episode arises from Morgana’s father and Darkwing both being just as stubborn and refusing to listen to her.
- Morphic Resonance: When transformed into a werewolf, Darkwing keeps his beak. As does Launchpad when he's turned into a vampire bat.
- Obnoxious In-Laws: Darkwing and Morgana's father's animosity towards each other is the main conflict of the episode.
- That Came Out Wrong: When Morgana's father insists that his daugher can only find happiness with a monster boyfriend, Darkwing responds "She doesn't want happiness, she wants me!" He immediately realizes how wrong that sounded.
- Vegetarian Vampire: Vampire!Launchpad attempts to substitute blood with ketchup. It doesn't work.
