Recap / Code Prime - R2: Revolution, 7 "Knights and Wyverns"

Go To

Lelouch's group deploy to Europe to try and gain the aid of both the E.U. and Euro-Britannia.

  • Adaptational Badass:
    • In canon, Ryo's group only had one Knightmare to attack Smilas' convoy with. Here, thanks to the upheaval Britannia's destruction has caused, they got twenty, all but one of which is controlled remotely by Yukiya.
    • It's revealed in this chapter that Lelouch has underwent some intense physical conditioning during the six-month Time Skip and that his new armored Zero suit has some nifty build-in features.
  • Freudian Excuse Is No Excuse: While Ryo, Ayano, and Yukiya's troubled past and desire to find a place to call home gets them some sympathy from Leila, Lelouch, and Elita, Ultra Magnus tells them that it does not justify their attack on Smilas' convoy, as well as any other crimes they've committed.
  • Internal Reveal: Euphemia learns that Marrybell and the Glinda Knights escaped the Decepticons and are hiding out in Euro-Britannia.
  • Irony: The moment Leila ends her conversation with Smilas about trying to ally with the Alliance, a ground bridge opens up at her castle, with some of the said alliance following soon after.
  • Oh, Crap!: Ryo, Ayano, and Yukiya all have this when they see the Autobots and Black Knights protecting Smilas and Leila during their attack on the convoy.
  • Powered Armor: Lelouch's Zero Armor turns out to be this, developed by Perceptor and equipped with features like arm-mounted Energon wrist blades and hover skates.
  • Reasonable Authority Figure: Duke Velaines quickly establishes himself as one, being open to allying with the group even if this means assisting the E.U.
  • Training from Hell: It turns out that during the six-month Time Skip Lelouch was put through the wringer by Sayoko and Tohdoh - which shows when he and Akito disable Ryo's Sutherland.
