Roan: Because she kills all her mates. - Elaborate Underground Base: \This episode introduces the Castle base. Now it's clear Chuck will be with the CIA indefinitely, they've decided to invest in a base underneath the Buy More and the Orange Orange. It's full of computer banks and weapons, and that's just what we see in this epidsode.
- Epic Fail: While planning an elaborate date for Ellie, Awesome takes advice from Morgan, who has been lusting in vain after Ellie since adolescence and is apparently unaware that her tastes have evolved since she was thirteen. Ellie is unimpressed by an ice cream sandwich and Sister Act, and Awesome ends up Exiled to the Couch.
- Tuxedo and Martini: Roan is an example of this trope gone to seed. Once legendary, he's now jaded and - by his own admission - a Dirty Coward. He rallies to help Chuck rescue Sarah and Casey after Sasha takes them hostage.
