- Anything but That!: Khyber has a reaction akin to this after Ben turns into Pesky Dust, clueing the latter in that the form can be used as an advantage.Khyber: No! Not a Nemuina! Stay back!
- Continuity Nod: We finally get introduced to Atomix, who, like Toepick, was name-dropped all the way back in the original series episode "Ken 10".
- Dream Walker: Ben discovers that this is one of Pesky Dust's powers, as he infiltrates Khyber's nightmare to get information out of him.
- Faux Horrific: Khyber’s worst nightmare is being friends with Ben and his family.
- Heel Realization: Subverted. When Albedo finally absorbs Azmuth's intelligence, he starts to perceive the universe the way Azmuth does and realizes how petty and pointless his whole attitude was. Sadly, Ben then attacks him and causes him to lose the knowledge, reverting him back to what he was.
- Ignored Epiphany: Despite Albedo finally realizing just how petty and pointless his villainous actions were after gaining Azmuth's intellect, he immediately regresses after having it removed. He convinces himself that his temporary glimpse of enlightenment was just a trick of his enemies to avoid learning from it.
- Large Ham: Ben's newest transformation, Atomix, who's pretty much AQUAMAN if he were a walking, talking nuclear bomb.
- Nice Job Fixing It, Villain: When Azmuth accidentally causes Ben to turn into Pesky Dust, the latter once again dismisses the form as lame like he did in "Outbreak". But when Khyber reacts to the form with fear, this clues Ben in that Pesky Dust is more powerful than he looks.
- Tempting Fate: After Albedo is once again mode-locked in human form (thanks to Azmuth tinkering with his stabilizer), he bemoans, "What could be worse than being transformed into a 16-year-old Ben Tennyson?!" Cue his stabilizer shapeshifting him into 11-year-old Ben.
- Yank the Dog's Chain: Not only does Azmuth tamper with Albedo's Ultimatrix to return him to Ben-mode, but then he regresses to Ben's 11-year-old self.
