Beavis And Butt Head S 3 E 31 Most Wanted

Go To

Beavis and Butt-Head meet an escaped killer.

Episode:

  • Achievements in Ignorance: Beavis and Butt-Head are able to get out of being murdered and reform Kyler simply by being their usual idiotic selves.
  • Actually Pretty Funny: At first, Kyler looks annoyed when the duo asks him for tattoos of a butt which have butt-shaped tattoo on them on their butts, but then, he gladly goes along with the idea.
  • Bait-and-Switch: Before Kyler departs, he decides to give Beavis and Butt-Head something to remember him by, and then pulls out his knife and orders them to get in the house while the duo is shaking with fear, seemingly wanting to kill them despite having a good time with them. However, he actually intends to give them their own tattoos.
  • Bittersweet Ending: Kyler has performed a Heel–Face Turn and the duo got the tattoos they wanted, but they hurt due to being done by a knife on their butts whenever they try to sit.
  • Even Evil Has Standards: Even Kyler is (hypocritically) appalled by Beavis revealing what he hears from voices.
  • Everyone Has Standards: Even Butt-Head is appalled that Kyler and Beavis hear voices.
  • Extra-Long Episode: This episode has double length due to having four acts instead of three and eight music videos instead of three or four.
  • Hearing Voices:
    • Kyler mentions that he hears voices, which drive him to murder. After he reforms, the voices drive him to tattoo inmates, specifically tattoos of butts.
    • Beavis mentions that he hears voices too, which tell him to stay home from school and watch TV, and once told him to roll up a gum wrapper and stick it to a horsefly until it dies of exhaustion.
  • Heel–Face Turn: Kyler reforms and returns to prison because Beavis and Butt-Head show him some fun.
  • Hypocritical Humor:
    • Kyler tells Beavis he’s twisted for hearing voices, which is the exact same case with him too. Butt-Head points this out.
    • Beavis asks Butt-Head why he’s interested in butts so much, while he himself is obsessed with nads.
  • Laughably Evil: Kyler is a dangerous serial killer, but as soon as Beavis and Butt-Head show their stupidity to him, he proves to be just as goofy as them.
  • Never Learned to Read: Butt-Head reads the killer's "KILLER" forehead tattoo as "Kyler" which he takes as a nickname.
  • One Dialogue, Two Conversations: At the same time someone (Kyler) breaks the duo’s window, Beavis farts, leading to this exchange:
Butt-Head: Beavis, did you just cut the cheese?
Beavis: It sounded like it came from outside.
Butt-Head: What are you? Some kind of butt ventroliquist?
Beavis: Yeah! That would be cool!
  • Recursive Image: Butt-Head wants to use the reward money to get a tattoo of a butt that has a butt tattoo... and he wants it on his butt. He and Beavis each get one after Kyler turns good.
  • Scare Chord: A few of these play throughout the episode.
    • One plays when Kyler is first shown in the duo’s backyard.
    • Another one plays when Kyler tries to stab the duo from behind, but misses due to them falling on the ground.
    • The last note of the internet-common dun-dun-dun sting named Shock Horror (a)note  plays when Kyler reveals his forehead tattoo.
  • Too Dumb to Live: Beavis and Butt-Head try to track Kyler down. The reporter on TV even emphasizes that no one should be ignorant enough to go after him themselves.
  • Ungrateful Bastard: Even after having some fun and laughs with the duo, Kyler still tries to kill them, but their laughter stops him from wanting to do so. Averted with the Bait-and-Switch moment above.

Music videos:

  • Hidden Depths: As he reveals in the PJ Harvey video, Beavis has barbed wire in his room to protect himself from strangers who want to steal his secrets.
  • Insane Troll Logic: Butt-Head thinks the combine didn’t really run people over in the Clutch video because they’re still singing, apparently thinking that music videos are sung and performed live.
  • Out-of-Character Moment: Butt-Head doesn’t respond to Beavis’s imitation of Billy Joel, not even with laughter.
  • Right for the Wrong Reasons: Butt-Head tries to convince Beavis that the combine didn’t really run people over in the Clutch video, not because it’s an act, but because they’re still singing.
