Nightwing (Dick Grayson) and Flash (Wally West) try to come up with a way for speedsters to carry Bats that isn't totally embarrassing. The results are...mixed.
Tropes:
- Big Eater: At the start of the episode, Wally is a minute late to meet up because there was a long line at his favorite bagel place. This is common among bearers of the Flash mantle, as their Speed Force powers burn off a lot of calories and force them to eat almost constantly.
- Bridal Carry: One conventional way for speedsters to carry Bats is in their arms (aka, the "cradle" method).
- Dope Slap: Dick playfully throws a skate wheel at Wally when the speedster says I Warned You.
- Got Volunteered: According to Dick, the rest of the family pressed him into finding an alternative carrying method.
- I Warned You: Wally tells Dick that the only ways that speedsters can carry people is either via Bridal Carry or piggyback. Dick disagrees, certain that he can think of other ways. Wally agrees to try them...and is proven right as every other way is either still embarrassing (for either the carried or the carrier) or dangerous.
- "Shaggy Dog" Story: Ultimately Dick has to admit he can't find any viable, less embarrassing carrying methods.
- Too Kinky to Torture: Dick Grayson is the only member of the family who can do pretty much anything and feel no shame. Keep in mind, this is the kid who grew up in a circus and ran around in shorts and a cape until he was old enough to vote. One of his ideas, the Bat-bjorn, isn't any less embarrassing than the regular methods. However, Dick is more interested in the fact that it's more comfortable.
- Written Sound Effect: Wally's super-speed is written as sounds like "koom" and "fwoom".
