A two-parter. A swarm of Man-Bats has overtaken Gotham. While Batman and several other Bats work to make a vaccine, Batwoman is the only vigilante defending the Gotham police department. It's up to her to hold the line.
Tropes:
- Chekhov's Gag: In an earlier episode, Batman was discussing with Duke (who was incredibly invested) his plan for if the city should be overrun with Man-Bats. Here, we see why being Crazy-Prepared can pay off.
- Dark and Troubled Past: Here, Kate reveals to the reader that she was dishonorably discharged from the military because she came out as a lesbian. Being Batwoman is her way of protecting others while being true to herself.
- I Can Still Fight!: Batwoman fights Man-Bat after Man-Bat to protect the building, even after getting hurt.
- Secret-Keeper: Because they used to date, Officer Montoya knows Batwoman's secret identity.
